Minibus Hire Across France

Toulouse by Minibus: Aircraft, Rugby and Albi

Toulouse mixes aircraft, rugby and the Canal du Midi, with Albi and Carcassonne within easy reach. A minibus with a driver suits a visiting club, a family gathering or friends who want to see more than the city.

A day with the aircraft makers

Let's Visit Airbus runs factory tours in Blagnac. Booking is compulsory, and each person needs a passport or identity card that is still valid, so remind everyone the night before. Aeroscopia, the aviation museum also in Blagnac, welcomes guided parties of between 10 and 25 people, by reservation only.

The Cité de l'espace lies on the east side of the city, with a large free car park.

Stopping in the centre

Coaches use official set-down points such as 29 allées Jean-Jaurès, 15 boulevard Lascrosses and Cours Dillon, and stay only as long as boarding takes. Place du Capitole is closed to them except to serve its hotels: the vehicle must be no longer than 10 m, the hotel must expect you, and the route enters via rue de Rémusat and leaves via rue Gambetta. A minibus is well within that length.

The ZFE inside the rocade bars Crit'Air 4, 5 and unclassified vehicles at all hours; the planned Crit'Air 3 ban was suspended. Confirm the sticker before travel.

Match days

Stade Toulousain plays at Ernest-Wallon, north of the city; Toulouse FC at the Stadium on the Île du Ramier, where coach parking runs from 08:00 to 20:00 but not during events on the island. On rue Raymond-Badiou, the Zénith's coach park lets a vehicle stay up to 24 hours.

Further afield

Allow about an hour for Albi or Moissac, and an hour and a quarter for Cordes-sur-Ciel or Carcassonne. Rocamadour and Lourdes take about two hours each way, and a driver's day is capped at 9 hours at the wheel, so plan those with care. The A61, A62 and A68 are tolled; the périphérique is free.

Your questions, answered

How long is the run from Toulouse-Blagnac airport?

It is roughly 11 km into the centre, 20 to 25 minutes when traffic is light. The express and quick drop-off car parks turn away vehicles over 2.75 m tall, but P6 has no height barrier, so a taller vehicle can use it.

Can we see the Couvent des Jacobins with a guide?

The convent sets Thursdays aside for groups with a guide, booked ahead, so build your plan around that day.

Is the Canal du Midi worth a stop?

It is a UNESCO-listed canal running through the city, ideal for a gentle walk between visits.
