Lille Minibus Hire for Weekends and Day Trips
Lille rewards a group that stays a couple of nights: the old town for the evenings, and a ring of museums and memorials within an hour for the days. Here is how a minibus with a driver fits around it all.
Getting to Lille
Lesquin, home of Lille's airport, lies some 18 km out of the centre: roughly 25 minutes when the roads are clear. From Paris-Charles de Gaulle it is about two hours by road, a good reason to have a driver waiting in arrivals.
By rail you will pull into Lille-Flandres or Lille-Europe, two stations a few minutes' walk from each other. TGV and international high-speed services use Lille-Europe, and the international coach station is right next door on Boulevard de Leeds.

Stopping in the centre
The tourist office is in the Palais Rihour, and the Place Rihour is where a group vehicle may pause for a few minutes to let people on and off. It is not a place to wait, so have everyone ready on the pavement at pickup time.
For longer stops, coaches park free on the Esplanade du Champ de Mars, which has about 25 spaces. On the Braderie weekend it is unavailable and the centre fills with stalls; the next Braderie is on 4 and 5 September 2027, so book early if your dates fall then.

A low-emission zone everywhere
One low-emission zone covers the whole Métropole Européenne de Lille, day and night: its 95 communes plus main roads such as the A1 and the A27. A Crit'Air sticker is compulsory on every vehicle, foreign plates included, and unclassified vehicles first registered before 1997 are turned away. Rules can shift, so check your vehicle's sticker against the current version.
Museums and memorials within the hour
La Piscine in Roubaix, an art museum in a former swimming pool, is about 20 minutes away. The Louvre-Lens takes about 40 minutes; reserve the group visit at least a fortnight before, and your driver can drop you inside the museum park.
For remembrance trips, the Canadian National Vimy Memorial is about 45 minutes, with free parking and booking recommended for groups of 10 or more. Over the Belgian border, Ypres and the Menin Gate are about 45 minutes and Bruges about an hour.
Your questions, answered
Can you take us to a match or concert at the stadium?
Yes. At the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre-Mauroy, coaches use the Parking C2 BUS, linked to the ground by a footbridge and free on event days while space lasts. Agree a meeting point for the return before you go in.
Is Lille a good base for a day in Paris?
Paris is about 2 hours 40 minutes by road each way, which makes for a long day. The train may suit that trip better; keep the minibus for the places trains do not reach easily.
Where does the minibus wait at the Louvre-Lens?
Coaches wait at the Parking Jean Jaurès over in Liévin (15 coach places), then return to the museum park to collect you.
