Minibus Hire Across France

About Us: Small-Group Travel, Arranged for You

We are a booking service for people travelling around France together. We listen to your plans and look after the booking, while a registered, insured partner operator provides the vehicle and the driver.

Who does what

Our part is the planning conversation: understanding the day, choosing an operator that fits, having the trip priced and confirming it with you. The operator's part is the road itself: the vehicle, the driver it employs, the registrations needed to carry passengers for hire and the insurance.

On the road, your driver follows the operator's instructions on safety, route and working hours. Changes to times, addresses or numbers come through us.

The rules operators work under

Before carrying anyone for hire, a French road passenger firm has to win a place on a register held by the DREAL of its region, proving it is reputable, solvent, professionally competent and properly established. Coaches, and minibuses seating more than nine once the driver is counted, then operate under a licence communautaire.

Driving a minibus of up to 17 seats calls for a D1 licence; anything larger needs category D. A car with driver is a VTC: its driver holds a professional card issued by the préfecture, and its operator appears in the national VTC register. Bookings go only to operators holding what their vehicle requires.

What we don't do

The vehicles and drivers are never ours. We publish no prices, since every trip is costed afresh for its day, duration, mileage and vehicle. And we don't sell places on shared tours: every booking is a private vehicle for your group alone.

Where we go

Twenty cities run from Lille in the north to Carcassonne and Nice in the south; Tours covers the Loire châteaux and Bayeux the landing beaches of 1944. Monaco, Geneva and Courmayeur feature only as day trips from a French base. Corsica is not covered.

Our sources, and their limits

The rules on the city, airport, port and event pages come from public sources: the government's Service Public site and Légifrance, airport and port operators, the Ville de Paris and other city websites, tourism offices and the venues themselves. Distances and timings are estimates for a car on quiet roads, so allow longer in a minibus or coach and at busy times. Some rules are moving, the low-emission zones above all, so ask for anything important to be checked when your trip is quoted.

Your questions, answered

Are you a tour operator?

No. We don't sell tours or seats. We book a private vehicle and driver for your group, and the day follows your own plan.

Why is there no price list?

The operator prices each trip for your date, hours, distance and vehicle, and that figure is set out on your quote.

Which parts of France do you cover?

The twenty cities on our cities page, the day trips that start from each, and the twelve airports and four cruise ports that serve them.

Tell us about your group

A headcount, a date and a few places are enough to start. An operator prices the trip and the quote comes straight to you.
