Le Mans 2027: Race Weekend for Your Crew
Le Mans hosts its 95th 24-hour race in June 2027: the event week is 9–13 June, and the race itself spans Saturday 12 and Sunday 13. For a group of friends or a motor club, a minibus with a driver means nobody has to sit out the celebrations to drive home.
Coming from Paris or the Loire
Le Mans is about 215 km from central Paris on the A11, around 2 h 30 min in light traffic, and about 90 km from Tours, around 1 h 15 min. Expect race traffic on the approaches to add time.
Tours makes a friendly base: a group can spend the days before the race among the Loire châteaux, with Amboise about 25 km and Chenonceau about 34 km from the city, then head north for the start.

Arriving at the circuit
For spectators, the organiser points to park-and-ride sites close to the motorway exits, from which shuttles run to the track. Two appear on its list: 2e RIMa and the University. Fuller access details come out closer to the event, and no coach drop-off point has been published for 2027 yet.
The driver will confirm the stopping point once the organiser's 2027 plan is out. Until then, plan around a park-and-ride and the shuttles.
When and where
- Circuit des 24 Heures, Le Mans, Sarthe
- 9-13 June 2027 (the 95th edition; the race runs over the weekend of 12-13 June)
A race that lasts longer than a driver's day
EU rules cap a driver at 9 hours behind the wheel per day and require a daily rest of 11 hours or more. A round trip for the start and another for the finish works best with the group staying near Le Mans or in Tours, the driver resting in between.
Your questions, answered
Can the minibus stay at the circuit overnight?
Plan on it leaving. The driver needs a proper rest, so the usual pattern is a drop-off for the start and a separate pickup for the finish.
When will 2027 access details be known?
The organiser publishes full access and transport information nearer the event. Book early and the plan is updated when it appears.
Which city is better to stay in, Tours or Paris?
Tours is closer to the circuit and handy for châteaux days. Paris suits groups flying in and out, at the cost of a longer drive.
